Anne and Kai were both born in Germany and moved to Australia in May, 2010. Brought a van and drove up the coast to Exmouth and fell in love with the rich coastline and incredible community spirit.
The idea for The Social Society came from creating a place where people can get together and enjoy wholesome and nutritious vegan and vegetarian food, delicious coffee and fresh pressed juices while being able to purchase eco friendly skincare, clothes and artwork. We offer regular yoga classes and the occasional sustainability workshop such as DIY Beeswax wraps. We are located in the heart of the beautiful coastal town of Exmouth, which is a nature lover’s paradise and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef. Surrounded by crystal clear water and some of the worlds most enchanting sea life, it's hard not to love where we live and have a passion to keep it this way! We are striving to tread lightly on the earth, and we are encouraging our community to be more mindful of the choices they make. We are a part of the Responsible Cafe movement, offering a discount to those who bring their own mug in for coffee rather than using a single use cup. Most of our furniture and fit outs are made from recycled materials sourced locally and upcycled by local tradesmen. The brands we currently stock have been handpicked as we believe they are helping fight the war on waste. We currently stock a range of organic skincare, artisan home wares, books, local art, slow fashion brands, and various other feel-good pieces.
